The Roads Department provides for all maintenance relating to roads and streets within Washington Township. Services include road repair, snow and ice removal, leaf pick-up, and sign maintenance. If you have any questions, please contact the Roads Superintendent.

Alexis Place Sanitary Sewer Update

Proposed Schedule:
August 10, 2007 & August 17, 2007 - hearing notice publication
August 17, 2007 or earlier - Sanitary Engineer will mail tentative assessment notices to all affected property owners
September 11, 2007 - Public Hearing at 2:00 p.m. at One Government Center, 1st floor, Commissioners' hearing room
October 2007 - Advertise for bids
February 21, 2008 - Meeting at Township Building with Sanitary Engineers
March 3, 2008 - March 10, 2008 - Job Setup
March 10, 2008 - March 17, 2008 - Pump Station/Force Main
March 17, 2008 - May 5, 2008 - Gravity Sewer
May 12, 2008 - June 9, 2008 - Lateral Sewers
June 9, 2008 - June 23, 2008 - Testing
June 9, 2008 - July 7, 2008 - Restoration
Summer 2008 - Final assessment notices (with 30 days to pay all or a portion of the construction costs). Unpaid assessments may be retired through a bond over 20 years at the interest rate obtained in October 2008 (approximately 4-5%) - billed on the property taxes.
